Man Pleads Guilty To Driving His La-Z-Boy Chair, Drunk
A Minnesota man has pleaded guilty to a DWI when he went driving his motorized La-Z-Boy chair after pounding down at least 8 beers.
In August 2008, Dennis Anderson, 62, blood alcohol content was 0.29, three times the legal limit, told the police he left a bar in his chair after enjoying the beer. Soon after he left, he crashed into a vehicle.
Police said the chair was powered by a converted lawnmower and was lavished with a stereo and cup holders.
Judge Heather Sweetland stayed 180 days of jail time and ordered two years of probation for Anderson.
